Abstract JTEKT developed safety PLC (a programmable logic controller) TOYOPUC-PCS for the first time in Japan and acquired the conformity certifi cation of international safe standards, such as IEC61508 SIL3. Following TOYOPUC-PCS for large- and medium-sized equipment, a compact and low-cost safety PLC TOYOPUC-PCS-J for small-sized equipment has been developed, and commercialized as the TOYOPUC safety PLC series for production run. TOYOPUC-PCS-J is a small safety PLC, which possesses not only the advanced features such as program-less mode and safety/non-safety integrated mode but also user-friendliness with superior cost performance.
