JTEKT conducts environmental analysis as one activity to address environmental conservation. Environmental analyses at JTEKT consist of two major parts: plant industrial wastewater analysis, and substance of concern analysis (SOC analysis). Regarding the former, we periodically investigate whether plant wastewater including waste from manufacturing processes contains metallic elements or organic compounds in amounts exceeding legal limits, and regarding the latter, we verify that specifi ed hazardous substances (Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr6+, brominated fire retardant) are not contained in products. This paper presents our environmental analysis activities and methods. |
